Although the total cost of the project and the opening date of the school are undecided, the group will gradually develop farms, music halls, student dormitories, teacher housing, hot spring facilities, and parks in addition to the school buildings.
Fu Feifei, the representative of the group, said on the same day, “We have a valuable opportunity to create a campus that makes the most of nature in Kyowa Town and a sustainable town around it. We will add a new perspective of learning to the famous Niseko. This opens up possibilities,” he commented. Kyowa Town Mayor Shinichi Narita said, “I hope that the opening of the school will enhance the town’s brand and lead to population growth and a better educational environment.”
The group operates international schools in Tokyo. In December last year, the subsidiary and the town agreed to cooperate in developing an international education base, aiming to complete the seminar house at Rugby School by 2025.
