A landscape that feels like a work of art. Even around Lake Toya, locations where the moonlight creates such a beautiful path of light across the water are truly rare. The elevation, viewing angle, and balance between the lake and surrounding scenery come together in perfect harmony, creating an exceptional setting. まるでアートのような風景。洞爺湖の中でも、月の光が湖面に描く美しい光のラインを望める場所は、とても貴重です。高さや角度、湖と周囲の景色のバランスが美しく調和した、素晴らしいロケーションです。

A Lake Toya Home with a View That Speaks for Itself

Some properties require explanation. This one does not.

Moonlight creates a beautiful path of light across Lake Toya, like a piece of art painted by nature. Facing east, the property welcomes spectacular sunrises over the lake, while in winter, the contrast between the pristine white landscape and deep blue water is simply breathtaking.

Panoramic Views, Privacy, and a Truly Special Setting

One of the greatest strengths of this property is its elevated, hilltop-like position, offering both spectacular views and exceptional privacy.

Importantly, the forested land extending toward Lake Toya is also included within the property. This provides a natural buffer in front of the house and significantly reduces the risk of future development obstructing the view—an increasingly important advantage as development continues around Lake Toya.

The surrounding forest also provides natural privacy, screening out neighboring properties and allowing the magnificent lake scenery to remain the focus.

Enjoy Lake Toya and Hokkaido’s Nature Year-Round

Lake Toya is only about two minutes away by car, offering easy access to SUP, canoeing, swimming, and other lake activities.

The expansive property itself provides even more opportunities to enjoy nature, from gathering wild mountain vegetables to birdwatching and simply exploring the forest.

Spring, summer, autumn, and winter each bring a completely different landscape, allowing you to experience the beauty of Hokkaido throughout the year.

The access road leading to the house is also wide and easy to navigate, providing comfortable access by car.

Imagine the Lifestyle

Visit this property and it is easy to imagine spending memorable time here with family and friends.

Install a quality sound system, play your favorite music, pour your favorite drink, and enjoy the view in complete privacy. Surrounded by forest, with Lake Toya stretching out before you, this is a place to slow down and enjoy a more peaceful and refined way of life.

A World-Renowned Hokkaido Destination

Lake Toya is one of Hokkaido’s best-known resort destinations. In 2008, it hosted the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, bringing world leaders and international media to the area and placing Lake Toya on the global stage.

Owning an expansive property and private forest overlooking this internationally recognized landscape is a rare opportunity.

Spectacular scenery. Exceptional privacy. And a setting that helps protect the value of the view for the future.

Q&A
1. Recent Use / Occupancy
The property has been used approximately four times per year, generally between April and early November. It has not been used from December through the end of March due to snow conditions. During the period when the property was in use, the owner arranged for monthly grass cutting and cleaning around the property, as well as cleaning inside the house.

2. Heating
The house is heated by air conditioning units and a stove. The seller also notes that the double-glazed windows provide good insulation.

3. Winter Snow Clearing
The seller has never arranged snow clearing, so there is no past cost information available.

The access road is publicly cleared up to a certain point. The final approximately 150 meters leading to the property is a private road, so snow clearing for this section would need to be arranged privately at the owner’s expense.

As this area generally receives less snowfall than the Niseko area, snow clearing would likely be arranged as needed rather than under a full-season contract. The seller mentioned Takahashi Construction and Den Construction as local contractors who may be able to provide this service.

4. Water and Wastewater
The property is connected to the municipal water supply. Supporting documentation is attached.

Wastewater is handled by a holding tank / pump-out system rather than a septic system.

5. Internet
High-speed internet service, including fiber-optic internet, is available.

6. Road Access
Regarding the legal status, rights, and building-related treatment of the access road, the seller is not certain of the details. Relevant documentation is attached for reference.

7. Bedroom Windows / Deck Area
The seller believes the appearance of the bedroom-side access being boarded up may simply be due to reflections in the photographs. Nothing has been installed to block the windows or access, and the seller is not aware of any such issue related to the structural stability of the deck.

8. Renovation / Repair History and Known Issues
The following work has been carried out:

– Structural reinforcement of columns(8,9 years ago)
– Deck painting
– Conversion to municipal water supply

The seller is not aware of any other current defects or issues requiring repair at this time.

9. Trees Along the Road
The seller planted ginkgo trees on the lake side of the property.

10. Furniture and Remaining Items
Unnecessary bedding and unwanted items stored in the storage shed will be removed before handover. Other furniture, fixtures, and remaining items are intended to be included, and the seller would prefer to sell the property in its current condition.
